Buy an FW, that’s a good sony.
Together with the AW serie of course.
CS is pretty amateuristic and looks like it was created in a 2 day period.

@n0Gain You could get more for your money if you go for the FW series.
It “does” have an ATI graphics card, but it will out perform that one pretty good.
Though get what you feel is right for you.
Btw, its an ATI Mobility Radeon 4650 (512MB/1GB).

DO NOT BUY CS-SERIES…. THE NOISE THE FAN MAKES IS UNBELIEVABLE… the noise is like a freaking car engine

I have it this laptop!!
and I had the problem with the fan (very noisy fan) so I called sony and they took it to germany and repared it. for free. now i dont have any more problems =)

I had like 15 laptops through out my career (HP, Dell, Fujitsu, sony…etc) .I got Sony NS, it is a good one, very responsive and overall I feel comfy using it given that I am working on the technical side (SQL Server, VS, Adobe…etc) it was performing well. Then I got the CS I am really impressed….superior performance, I didnt even hear the fan for one time, the only bad thing is the battery 1,5 hrs max. let alone the sexy appearence…I really love it!!

Im using CS100D series.and its crashing due to overheat i even have a laptop airbed
but it doesnt help at all..now i need to bring it to repair service because i cant use the warranty.they told me to bring it back to where i purchase it…
i can use it continually with out crashing if the electric fan that i used in my room is totally focused on the airfan side of my laptop…..

Not me, my Vaio P doesn’t have a fan.
This is a really good looking, high spec. notebook, If I had the money I would get this as my “Middle” computer (In between my P and my Quad-core desktop).

iam noticing something with the fan as well, but what is it? it slike tuning on for 2 seconds, then goes off for 2 seconds, and then again on, is that normal? HELP !!!

i have this series too. I thought there’s something wrong with its fan until i read your comment, i thought i am the only one having problem on it, its really annoying.
