Yea, even if you have the money to throw away, I mean use your logics and knowledge. Then they complain why is my computer slow, this and that. They have Windows with features they never use, and install software that is completely unnecessary to make things worse. Ohwell.

Windows Home Premium is without features that not many home user’s need. If your a business type person than get the Pro or Utlimate. For example, Ultimate adds 35 different languages, which many people don’t need. Home Premium which is what I have is only 2 gigs vs Ultimate being 5 or 6 gigs. So Home will install faster, and its a lighter OS compared to the Ultimate if you ask me. Ppl just jump on Ultimate cuz of the name, but you really have to look at ur needs
Cheers!

Pretty good reason I must admit but without a doubt there are still people who buy such laptops without real purpose behind it.

Well, im in a band and i do have a very powerfull desktop that i built and keep at my house. But for when im tour (a good 6-10 months out of the year) i bought an alienware laptop. so do realize that their is a market for gaming laptops (no matter how small, lol.)
December 15th, 2009 at 10:38 am
Price: $1,999.99
December 15th, 2009 at 11:27 am
Because 99% of people aren’t in the situation your brother was; where portability was needed. For 1/6th the price of a high-end Alienware laptop, one is capable of building a fairly high spec Desktop that will run every game available on the market right now at full specifications. Also, this is a BUSINESS laptop, I don’t know why they added anything beyound the integrated Intel chip in the first place. I’m a compute enthusiast and I do just fine with a 4500MHD. I also have a i7 rig of course..

isnt the point, though, to buy a laptop suitable to your purposes? and my bro was in iraq. he ended up buying an alienware lappy for the sole purpose of gaming. playing left 4 dead. why is it the dumbest choice to make?
December 15th, 2009 at 12:16 pm
I never understood why people cared about the graphics card on a laptop. Unless your an idiot and bought specifically a Alienware laptop to game on (Dumbest choice to make), there isn’t specifically anything else that will make huge use of the GPU. It’s a laptop, it’s meant for small tasks.
